Associate Environmental Scientist

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

We are currently seeking an Associate Environmental Scientist to work in our Rancho Cordova, California office.

Responsibilities will include assisting with environmental planning and compliance activities, compiling and analyzing technical information to support evidence-based environmental impact analyses, conducting general site surveys, conducting data research and analyses, developing sections of environmental documents including those required by NEPA and CEQA, and assisting with a variety of other projects.

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors or graduate degree in environmental science or closely related field, three years of environmental planning/services experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, exemplary research skills, ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and the desire to learn the complex environmental procedures associated with transportation projects.

Cultural Resources Specialist

Location: Rancho Cordova

We are currently seeking a Cultural Resources Specialist for our Rancho Cordova, California, office to assist in projects throughout California.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
 

  • Identify potential impacts to cultural resources and coordinate projects with various internal project managers and external clients.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies for cultural resource studies.
  • Author technical reports detailing the methods and results of cultural studies.
  • Assist with the development of business plans and marketing efforts including preparation of technical and cost proposals.
  • Work on and prioritize a variety of technical assignments and complete work satisfactorily within schedule and budget constraints.
 
Qualifications
 
The ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in Archeology, Anthropology, or closely related field; at least 3 years of experience in project management; a strong understanding of the pre-contact and historic period in California; a verifiable record of authoring technical reports accepted by reviewing agencies; and listing on the Register of Professional Archaeologists is preferred.
