PMC is proud to be a premier sponsor of the first conference to focus solely on the practice of local and regional climate action planning in California. The
California Climate Action Planning Conference, hosted by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) on January 31 and February 1, will feature in-depth presentations and discussions on both technical and political facets of climate action planning. The conference will be held on the Cal Poly campus and will
feature experts and practitioners from around the state. PMC is also assisting through participation on the conference steering committee and panel discussions during the conference.

Nora De Cuir, PMC’s Managing Director of Community Engagement and Facilitation Services, will contribute to the presentation “Creative Approaches to Public Participation” on Thursday, January 31, at 1:45 p.m.

Jeff Henderson, Managing Director, will lead a discussion of the “Art and Science of Writing Climate Action Policy” on Friday, February 1, at 10 a.m.

Tammy Seale, Principal and Director of Sustainability and Climate Change Services at PMC, will participate in the discussion of what happens after adoption of a climate action plan as part of the panel “Now Comes the Hard Part: Implementing and Monitoring an Adopted CAP” on Friday, February 1, at 12:45 p.m.
