Our firm specializes in providing municipal consulting services including, but not limited to agency staffing, conservation planning and biological services, environmental, public finance, housing and community development, urban planning, sustainability and climate change, and creative services. We have an immediate need for a Senior Environmental Project Manager with transportation planning and extensive CEQA/NEPA experience.
Transportation planning project experience should include transportation improvement, regional transportation plans and related studies, roadway widening, roadway extension, new interchange construction, interchange reconstruction, bridge replacement, rehabilitation projects, and other capital improvement, infrastructure, and public works projects. Candidate must have experience in working with Caltrans, Federal Highway Administration, metropolitan transportation organizations, and other related agencies. Knowledge of the Caltrans project oversight process is a must, and consulting experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to directing and overseeing preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents, coordinating with biology team to acquire resource agency permits for projects, and directing staff in the research, collection and analysis of data. Additional duties will include business development, client management, coordinating and participating in project presentations to clients, the public, and other external groups, adherence to budgets and timelines, management and peer review of subcontractor work, and all other aspects of project management. Candidate must possess working knowledge of state and federal regulatory permitting requirements and have first-hand experience in the preparation of environmental documentation in compliance with CEQA/NEPA.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors or graduate degree in planning, environmental studies, or closely related field with a minimum of 5 years project management experience as well as a minimum of 3 years of professional environmental planning experience. Candidate will have a successful track record of marketing, securing new projects, and managing and mentoring technical staff. Ideal candidate must be within proximity to our Rancho Cordova office with the ability to travel to other PMC locations and clients sites as needed.
