Creation of a Land Use and Transportation Element/Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee

Report to Council, June 29, Update on Horizon 2035 Advisory Committee (Information Only)

A City Council sub-committed selected 15 committee members on February 27, 2010 City Council authorized creation of a new committee to act in an advisory capacity on the LUTE and CAP. Titled Horizon 2035 Advisory Committee: Convergence of Climate, Land Use and Transportation, this new committee will also assist with conducting community outreach and education as LUTE and CAP plans programs. Recruitment efforts were launched in April and resulted in over 40 applicants for Horizon 2035. A City Council sub-committee will select approximately 15 committee members to represent a broad and balanced cross-section of the Sunnyvale community. The Committee will meet monthly for 15 months beginning in June 2010.
