We move communities from growth/no-growth debates to feasible growth scenarios. How should California communities grow? How does growth affect the environment, community character, and quality of life? We facilitate public dialogue to discover common ground and explore locations for natural resource conservation and new development. A Region at Risk: Southeastern Massachusetts In Southeastern Massachusetts, one billion dollars of transportation improvements threatened to dramatically alter the regional environment, finances, and quality of life. Members of the Conservation and Resource Planning Group identified potential impacts and provided growth management solutions and land protection priorities. Communities joined together and developed a regional compact to address growth-related issues. Working with affected communities, regional agencies, and other interested parties, members of our team created a regional land protection strategy and helped secure increased funding from the state government and private foundations for open space protection.
