With extensive knowledge not only of housing document preparation, but also the implementation of housing policies and programs, PMC has assisted jurisdictions with a range of housing policy issues, including Housing Element preparation. PMC staff has successfully dealt with a variety of housing constraints in communities, including growth concerns, environmental issues, a limited site availability, infrastructure constraints, affordable housing financing, urban-rural tensions, growth-management restrictions, and others.
PMC housing staff members have developed a successful record of achieving State certification for Housing Elements, and the Housing Element team has experience working with local staff to address constraints and identify resources to support housing programs. Our strong background preparing and implementing Housing Elements has also enabled us to develop a range of effective programs to address local housing needs, such as first-time homebuyers, housing rehabilitation, and affordable housing financing programs.
