Fiscal Impact Analysis for Solar Energy Source

The Fiscal Impact Analysis identified the estimated fiscal impact that a major energy infrastructure development would have on the operation and maintenance budgets of Imperial County. The project entailed the construction, development, and operation of an 80-megawatt (MW) solar energy facility on approximately 480 acres of land located in northern Imperial County. The project consisted of the installation of approximately 1,200 solar units. The fiscal impact was determined through methods that base revenue and costs on specific characteristics unique to the project.
