Created to support PMC’s new service area in Sustainability for municipalities, the Web team converted carbonconscious.us from a traditional website (in XHTML and CSS) to WordPress. The new site utilizes WordPress as a content management system for static pages as well as its blog capabilities, specifically threaded comments, site search and archiving, RSS feed syndication and reading/presentation, search engine optimization, multiple authors and avatars, and tags and categorization for cross referencing articles.
