The goal of the Clean LA campaign is to promote a recycling resource Web site (www.cleanla.com ) and hotline (888-CleanLA). It is anticipated that promotional efforts will increase countywide usage for these vital resources and result in a greater awareness of the importance and simplicity of recycling.
Concurrently, PMC is promoting the Los Angeles County Materials Exchange Web site www.lacomax.com. The site is a free materials exchange for individuals or businesses to post and/or search for goods, ultimately encouraging reuse and recycling practices. The communications plan ensures that effective, diverse and creative communication strategies are employed through a multimedia and community-wide educational outreach campaign.
